Modulation of the immunogenic and antigenic properties of HIV envelope polypeptides by sialylation (POCTI/FCB/47407/2002)

Bioconjugation chemistry for the production of peptide-carbohydrate HIV vaccines. Includes the production of neoglycopolypeptides, containing the principal neutralising epitopes of the HIV-1 and HIV-2 envelope, to be used as antigens in candidate vaccines against HIV infection and AIDS.
